Terms of service

These terms cover anything you buy from the Yard & Field shop. They apply alongside our delivery, returns and privacy pages.

Who we are

Yard & Field is a trading name of West Park Labs Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17490221. Our registered office is Lytchett House, 13 Freeland Park, Wareham Road, Poole, Dorset, BH16 6FA. You can reach us at hello@yardandfield.co.uk or on 01202 909200.

We sell to customers buying for their own use, not for resale.

Our products

Our products are made and dispatched by UK suppliers and delivered direct from them to you. Your contract is with us, not the supplier.

Each product page gives the item's size, materials and contents. Natural materials such as timber and stone vary, so colour and grain may differ from the photos.

Prices

The price shown is the price of the item. Delivery is shown on each product page and in full at checkout before you pay. West Park Labs Ltd is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added to prices.

If a listed price is clearly wrong, we will tell you before we accept your order, and you can buy at the right price or cancel for a full refund.

Your order

To order, add items to your basket, go to checkout, enter your details, choose how to pay and place your order. You can check and change your details at each step before you place it. Orders are made in English. We keep a record of your order and email you its details.

When you place an order you get an email acknowledging it. That email is not our acceptance. We accept your order, and the contract starts, when we email to say it is confirmed or dispatched. If we cannot accept an order, for example because an item is out of stock, we will tell you and refund your payment in full straight away.

Paying

You pay at checkout through Shopify Payments, by card or the other methods shown. We do not see or store your full card details.

Delivery and risk

Delivery is covered on our delivery page. Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to you or a person you have named to take them. Ownership passes when you have paid in full and they are delivered.

Cancelling and returns

You can cancel within 14 days after your order arrives, without giving a reason. Our returns page sets out how to cancel, where to send items, what a return costs and when you are refunded.

If something is wrong

Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If they are not, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, set out on our returns page. Nothing in these terms limits them.

Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses.

We do not exclude or limit liability where the law does not allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your consumer rights.

Follow the maker's instructions for assembly, siting and use, especially for anything heavy.

Events outside our control

If an event outside our control, such as severe weather or a carrier's failure, delays your order, we will tell you as soon as we can. If the delay is long, you can cancel and we will refund anything you paid for items you have not received.

Complaints

To make a complaint, email hello@yardandfield.co.uk. If we cannot resolve it, we will tell you in writing. We do not belong to an alternative dispute resolution scheme.

The law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can bring proceedings in your local courts or in England and Wales, and you keep the protection of the consumer law where you live.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The terms that apply to your order are those on this page when you placed it.
