Delivery and returns
How delivery works, and what to do if something isn't right.
How will my order arrive?
Smaller items come by courier. Garden buildings, larger furniture and bulk landscaping materials come by pallet or with a two-person crew. You'll see the delivery method, cost and timing before you pay.
Delivery direct from the maker
Larger pieces may come straight from the people who make them, and their delivery team will arrange a day with you.
Getting it into your garden
Large deliveries need room for the vehicle and a clear way through. If access is tight - a narrow lane, a steep drive, a side gate - ask us before you order. Our guide to getting it to your garden covers what to check before the day.
Checking your delivery
Please look everything over when it arrives. If anything is damaged or missing, take photos and email us at hello@yardandfield.co.uk as soon as you can, and we'll put it right.
Changing your mind
When you buy online, the law gives you the right to cancel within 14 days after the day your order arrives (after the last item, if it comes in parts), without giving a reason. Just email us to say so. You then have 14 days to send it back.
We'll refund what you paid, including standard delivery, within 14 days of getting it back or of your proof that you've sent it, whichever comes first. If we've offered to collect it, we'll refund you within 14 days of your telling us you're cancelling. Unless we've agreed otherwise, the cost of sending it back is yours.
You're welcome to unpack and look at anything as you would in a shop. If an item has been assembled, treated, fixed in place or used, we may reduce the refund to reflect the loss in its value.
Some things can't be cancelled once ordered, such as made-to-measure items, or loose materials once they've been mixed inseparably with other things.
If something is faulty
Everything you buy from us must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it isn't, email us with photos and we'll arrange a repair, a replacement or a refund. Within 30 days of delivery you can reject a faulty item for a full refund, and your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 continue after that.
Buying through a marketplace
If you buy from us on a marketplace such as eBay, its buyer protection applies as well as your rights above.
